Description¶

Installs micro CLI text editor on Pacman‑based systems.

Overview¶

This role automates the installation of micro, a CLI text editor, on Pacman‑based systems. It uses the community.general.pacman module to ensure the editor is installed and up to date.

Cosmos¶

The diagram places micro in the Infinito.Nexus cosmos: the components it deploys (capabilities), the central services it consumes (dependencies), and its outward reach (federation and bridged external networks).

Quick Setup¶

Development¶

Clone, set up the workstation, and deploy micro onto the local stack:

Production¶

Install micro directly onto the target machine: clone the repository, install the OS prerequisites and the repository toolchain, then deploy against localhost over a local connection (no SSH, no container):

Requirements¶

Ansible 2.9 or higher
Access to the Pacman package manager (e.g., Arch Linux and derivatives)

Role Variables¶

No additional role variables are required; this role solely manages the installation of the editor.
